Megan Fox Makeup Tutorial

One of my absolute favorite beauty blogs is Maskcara, and as I’m trying out new makeup looks, I find myself constantly gravitating to all of her videos.

One look I thought I could pull off (and had almost all the right makeup for) was this Megan Fox inspired look.

I really loved how soft and natural this makeup was, while still being incredibly sexy (of course, maybe that’s just because it’s Megan Fox).

Here is how Maskcara’s completed look turned out.  Gorgeous, right?

As much as I wish I could go out and buy all the products she uses in every makeup video, the sad truth is I can’t.

I’m sure many of you can’t either, so at the end of this post I will list what I used.  Who knows, maybe you have some of the same products too!  Or maybe they will just give you an idea of how you can substitute with what you have!

I have to say trying to find good lighting in my house is impossible!  So I apologize for the light switch, but this seemed like the only halfway decent spot.

Hard to tell because I’m a little washed out, but in person it looked more like the examples above.  Hopefully I will learn how to take better pictures as I do more tutorials!

Lil Bit More Skills

An “about me” blurb is hard to describe everything this blog will be about, so I thought this would be a good opportunity to explain in more detail.  This post will be divided into two sections, so there won’t be a bunch of text to read all at once!

1.  Be More Than a Lil Bit

The title of this blog, while may be a little vague, very much describes it the best.  I’ve been doing a lot of reflection on myself lately, and I’ve realized that ever since I decided what career path to take (more on that in the next post), I became entirely consumed and let go of almost all other skills and hobbies.  Ending up being a little bit good at a little bit of everything, and I desperately want to change that!  A lot of posts you will find here will be about learning and improving skills, such as DIY projects, art, sewing, photography and, of course, blogging!

2. Let’s Be Real Here

You are going to find a real person on this blog.  I am not a DIY guru.  When trying out a hair tutorial instead of looking fresh I usually look freaky.  I am impatient and get frustrated easily – the two qualities you don’t want when doing crafts, hence why I call myself an “uncrafty crafter,” but I want to share it all!  Because I am not only learning how to improve certain skills, I am also working on personal self improvement, and I know I can learn so much from both the successes and the failures.  I am certain there are other people out there that are trying to do the same, so my hope is that my trial and errors will in some way help others succeed.

There you have it!  I hope that was straightforward enough, and explained more of the why and the what of this blog.  Part 2 will be coming soon and will be a lil bit more personal!  Thanks for reading!
